Workshop Format

The edSocialMedia Nashville Bootcamp features leading social media strategists and practitioners in the independent school community. Come and be part of the dialog as we explore and discover the potential of social media to transform the way schools communicate and educate. Attendees will learn first-hand about:

  • Why social media matters
  • Blogging and micro-blogging
  • Podcasting
  • Video
  • Bringing it all together: Mash ups, social networking sites (Facebook), etc.

What to bring

You are encouraged (but not required) to bring a laptop with wireless network connectivity, a digital camera or digital-camcorder.

Peter Baron is the founder and president of AdmissionsQuest, an online resource for families who are working through the independent school admission process. Peter attended Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH. He earned his BA from Skidmore College and MAT from Tufts University. Peter's teaching experiences include Fenway Middle College High School, Pine Ridge School and Wolfeboro, The Summer Boarding School. Ernest Koe is the President and co-founder of The Proof Group and edSocialMedia.com. Ernest has over ten years of experience with database and web technologies. Travis Warren is the President and founder of WhippleHill Communications.
